Ten Degrees Bistro
After a fun BBQ at my friend's apartment, we headed out in the East Village for cocktails. We went to Ten Degrees Bistro to grab a drink. This bar features an incredible happy hour (2 for 1 cocktails till 8pm on ANY cocktail). Naturally, we went here around midnight, so we had to pay full price ($10-$13, depending on the drink)
I chose to get the always reliable Caipirinha made with cachaca, fresh lime and sugar.
My friend Miranda ordered the Jalapeno Infused Margarita, made with tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup.
This spot has floor to ceiling windows that are open up in the warmer months. While I like this lay-outs, it can be a bit off-setting when all of the venue's garbage is on the sidewalk. I say this because it can smell foul. If the wind goes the wrong way, well, it can go downhill really face. While I love NYC, this is one of the realities of city living in the summer: the smell of hot garbage wafting in your face.
Cheers,
Liz
