The Get-It-All Special GETS me!
For Day 2 of my 30th Birthday weekend, I made reservations at Good Restaurant. I've been here before with my mom and brother and we all loved it!
Although it does not offer an all-you-can-drink option, Good offers a cocktail + pastry + entree option for $27. I really love this option for when you have a big day ahead and don't want to feel like you need to "sleep off brunch" - ha! We needed fuel for all we had planned later (visiting the Koons Exhibit, walking across Central Park, and tasting goodies at two iconic UWS dessert spots - Emack & Bolis and Levain).
Last time I came, I got the Pork Belly Hash, so I knew I had to get that again! I changed it up and got the Chipotle Bloody Mary. I didn't like the Bloody Mary - I am VERY picky about the mix and this one just didn't cut it for me. I was sad because I couldn't even bring myself to finish it and I hate wasting. More than wasting though, I hate eating stuff I don't like just because
For our pastry choices, Warren, Courtney and I brainstormed to pick a selection of three yummy choices! We went with the Buttermilk Biscuits, Griddled Cheddar Corn Bread and Walnut Chocolate Chip Scone. My favorite was the corn bread (so flavorful!) and the scone (CHOCOLATE!) The biscuit was good but pretty standard.
For our entrees, Warren and I got the Hash. I was too busy eating it so I forgot to take a picture (the one below is from the last time I came).
Courtney went with the Basil & Goat Cheese Scramble, served with asparagus, pesto and marinated cherry tomatoes. She really enjoyed it!
Tim went with the Mushroom, Spinach and Aged Cheddar Omelet with Bacon added! He got this last time and really enjoyed it - yummy!
This is a lovely brunch spot! I appreciate that they take reservations. They also keep a lot of seating for walk-ins, so don't despair if you can't get a table through OpenTable!
Cheers,
Liz
